Humphrey is 100 % property of the company Roland Baldauf e.U., started at the 01.10.1995.

It all started on a small and inconspicuous scale: a desk in a living room, a computer and the "steel” will to set up our own company. We had no experience in the jewelery sector although we knew about the metal industry, marketing and design. Enthusiasm for architecture and design repeatedly opens up new horizons. The idea of processing stainless steel as a jewelery material was not new – it was, however, implemented with a hitherto unknown consistency by HUMPHREY. Stainless steel jewelery, combined with colored gemstones, diamonds or pearls, which had not been available to this extent from any other manufacturer. Everything is carefully styled right down to the packaging.

The decision to set up our own factory building was the logical consequence. In autumn 1998 the new company building was opened. We use state of the art machinery for production in our operation so that new design ideas can always be implemented. Within a few years, HUMPHREY® has developed from a one-man operation into a company with more than 10 employees.

Large investments were made in the drilling- and milling- centre, in order to have the ability to create new designs. Therefore, we are ready to face the future, head on. 2007, Norbert Muerrle, Pforzheim got a part of our team. 2007 – the year of the Alpenshark. A revolution in design and creativity. 2008 – the Musicus, an other spectacular product developed together with Norbert Muerrle. 2009 – the Rhomboid - maybe our most spectacular architectural product – created together with Norbert Muerrle. After that 2010/2011 the Twister was born.
